Chip Roy Proposes Bill to Challenge COVID-19 Vaccine Makers’ Immunity
Rep. Chip Roy introduces the LIABLE Act to enable lawsuits against COVID-19 vaccine manufacturers.
ROY: “The LIABLE Act will allow Americans who took vaccines that were misleadingly promoted and forced onto many Americans via federal mandates to pursue civil litigation for their injuries.”
This legislation seeks to enable Americans to sue vaccine producers for adverse effects, challenging the current legal protections under the PREP Act.
The bill reflects concerns over the vaccines’ emergency use authorization and the limited compensation for vaccine-related injuries.
Roy’s initiative is supported by at least a dozen GOP co-sponsors, highlighting a significant political push against vaccine mandate policies.
